Staten Island Flower Delivery
The least known of the five boroughs of New York is Staten Island. Despite having close to half a million residents it is nicknamed The Forgotten Borough because the other four boroughs have more popular and more widely known names. An increase in population has seen the island plagued with road accidents and road repairs in recent years, because prior to this in the 1960s and earlier it was principally used for farming poultry and dairy produce. Its farming background has often made Staten Island the butt of many jokes for residents of the other boroughs but the construction of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge in the mid 1960s has seen to it that the area shows excellent potential for further development and improvement.
First Lady was selected for its strongly upright growth habit and dark pinksemi-pendulous single flowers. It is the first in a series of flowering cherriesto be named after First Ladies of the United States.
